These sticks are the best, perfect feel

These, like all Bopworks sticks I have tried, are well built, well balanced, and have a great feel! They are a little heavier than I typically use for set playing, but I enjoyed and hour's worth of rudiments teaching with them this past week. I think that the average kit player will like the size.

I recently bought a pair of Bopworks Rhythm & Groovez sticks and they’re GREAT! I’ve been looking for sticks like these for decades. I started playing drums in the late 50’s when calf heads were the only kind you could get. Playing on calf heads, especially in humidity, required a stick that could still rebound when the head turned to mush. The trick was to have energy efficient sticks, meaning that they had to do the work and you could save your energy to do the gig. Throughout all those years I used an unknown brand stick and I have only one left which I think was made in the late 50’s or early 60’s. When I played the R&G’s, they were a tad bit lighter than my stick (which I like better than mine now), and the feel and rebound is exactly the same. I first thought that they looked too slick and could drop easily, but that never happened and they never slipped. When I compared them to other sticks I bought recently, none of them had the excellent articulation on my cymbals like the R&G’s. I have a 20” medium Zildjian Constantinople which tends to get too ‘washy’ or “sloppy” when played with most sticks, but not the Bopworks. They made it sound like it is supposed to and I just couldn’t believe the overall feel of how my DW drums really popped and the cymbals really sang. The key to these sticks is the long tapir, narrow neck and unique elongated tip that gives it such a great balance and feel playing them. Keep up the good work!

Grip area has pleasant mass to it and the weight feels good in the hands. Long taper gives a bit of springy feel and surprisingly light on ride. Good weight pulls full tone from snare and toms. Very comfortable to play. Suggest acorn tip to get better bell sound from ride. Very versatile!

Wood tips on calfskins are wonderful. The balance of bopworks sticks, not being top heavy makes playing on calf natural, rather than through calf or worrying about splitting heads.

These are a real nice stick. Good balance, sensitive, and a great bounce on the ride cymbal. I had been using another name brand stick about this same length and girth but these R & G's are the go to stick now except when I need something lighter and the Memphis R & B's come out' the bag. Also, these not being so heavy but still being of a larger diameter make it easier on the hands when stiffness from arthritis is on the scene.

What a nice stick. These have a truly nice bounce. They aren't as heavy as other sticks I own that have about the same girth and length but they put out a great sound. These and the Memphis R & B's are my main arsenal right now.

These don't feel like any of my other sticks but I am starting to like them. I am using these on Roland V drums (heresy!) with mesh heads and they are feeling pretty good.
